Resolved Question: Do all publishing companies have editors on site?

I'm looking for a publishing company to volunteer in because I am an aspiring book editor. I live in Arvada, CO so I'm a tad limited here. I have found multiple companies that are labeled "Publishing and Printing". Does that mean that their sole job there is to publish and print or do they have editors within the same building doing their job?
